The production supervisor Open Pit Mining is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the mining pit. Key responsabilités include:
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, company policies, and best practices.
- Developing and executing comprehensive mine plans and schedules.
- Monitoring and optimizing production levels, ore grades, and operational costs.
- Collaborating with geology, maintenance, and other departments to ensure seamless operations.
- Leading, mentoring, and supporting operators and other team members
- Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity
- Managing and controlling costs related to labor, equipment, and materials.
- Conducting performance evaluations and facilitating training and professional development.
- Enforcing safety protocols and procedures to maintain a secure work environment.
- Performing regular safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance.
- Investigating incidents, determining root causes, and implementing corrective actions.
- Maintaining strong relationships with regulatory bodies, clients and key stakeholders.
- Providing regular reports and updates to senior management and stakeholders.
- Five (5) years working experience as a production supervisor for open pit mining operations
- Be able to read, write and competency in report writing skills
- Be able to interpret and implement mining plans
- Have academic background on Mining
